When it comes to planning for elder-hood, we will benefit, but most importantly our families will benefit, if we understand how to prepare for end of life. Many families struggle with making choices for their loved ones when serious medical concerns arise. A chance to fully understand the needs of the individual can only be made in advance. These “wishes” for how we are cared for can be made with an advance directive.

At Artful Home Care, we want you to know our story. Recently, both Lauren and Gwen of Artful Home Care had the pleasure of attending the Small Business Showcase held at the Brookhaven National Laboratory on Thursday, April 23, 2015. At this showcase, they learned ways to tell our story, and to make you want to know our story. A bright spot of the event was when speaker Evelyn Landini, of the Brookhaven Site Office Business Management, spoke of all the small business success stories; they had all once failed, and are now beyond successful. Such stories that she spoke of are those of Walt Disney, Macy’s, and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. All started as a small business, and now, well you know where they are today.
