Dear Friends,
The month of October begins our three part Artful Wellness Series at the Ed and Pyhllis Davis Wellness Institute at the Southampton Hospital. This month, we will begin with Part One: Drawing 101 with renowned, contemporary artist Paton Miller. This first part will take place Wednesday, October 22, at 12:30. Drawing is therapeutic and allows for self-expression, while building valuable skills. Join us for a chance to understand how these therapies can produce mental healing and physical wellness. Materials will be provided, and there is no cost to attend. We encourage you to share this with your friends in the community. Drawing is a tool that unleashes emotions, strengthens cognition and releases stress. Who doesn’t need that? Along with hosting the event, I will also participate as this form of therapy is amazing for anyone, at any age! Visit here, to learn more and please register by emailing wellness@southamptonhospital.org @or call 631-726-8800.
Part two of the Artful Wellness Series, MUSIC: Rythym , will be held November 12th at 5pm.
Part three, a letter writing workshop, will be held on December 10th at 12:30. Register for all three now! The trio of workshops will be sure to leave you engaged!
We are pleased to welcome Jade Congleton, our new “Jade” of all trades! Jade is our Dynamic Program Facilitator and will be working closely with us to implement new programs and program development.
