Healing with Smiles and Sunsets
I often reflect on how I am spending my time. I think for many of us who are on a journey of wellness, healing, and seeking peace, we often find ourselves in a cycle that might not be producing the healing & the peace we are seeking. It’s important to make well-thought-out choices whether it’s for ourselves, our parents, or our children. I think we let fear, worry, financial reasons, and external pressures impede our sense of peace. We all stay too busy. We do not need to live like that. I like to think of it as decluttering my brain of things that don’t serve the purpose of bringing peace and wellness into my life.
The decluttering allows us to get to the root of what’s important in our lives. We all have things that are important to each of us individually, but as a whole, we seek to be loved, to give love, to have stability, and to feel peace. I don’t think there’s one person who would disagree with that. But now we have to actually make choices that can improve and enhance, our day-to-day lifestyle. I can’t say that I approach every choice with a certain set of questions, but if I take just a few minutes to ask myself, how a choice I may make will serve the lifestyle I am seeking, I find it easier to realize what’s important and what’s not.
At Artful Home Care, I have come to see how important elderhood really is. It’s the culmination of the life that we all work so hard to achieve. During our elder years, we will all hope to be in a comfortable home, have the resources to keep us in our home, have a couple of friends, a family member or two nearby, good healthy food, and a little active socialization. These simple needs offer us the spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional support that are essential to the peace and wellness we strive for at every age.
I can’t tell you we have all the answers, but if you give us a call over at Artful Home Care, I can assure you that we will listen, we will do our best to support your aging loved one, and hopefully, we can offer you some peace, knowing your loved one will be well cared for.
Sharing this with a smile, and a beautiful sunset! Give us a call at (631) 259-6472 and learn more about how Artful Home Care can support your loved one’s journey!
