November Newsletter

November Newsletter

As I write this I am reminded of the many blessings I have, my family, my warm home, delicious food to share with those I love and most importantly I am reminded of the grace I have received.  Too often we overlook what is truly important and worry about the small things.  Today I challenge youNovember-Newsletter to do a good deed.  I challenge you to help out a stranger, to hold the door open for a struggling mom, to wait patiently for your child who is learning a new task, to spend time with your parent who is feeling alone, to soften your heart and finally forgive that family member who did you wrong.  Life is about living.  Living should be about loving.  Loving those you know and loving those you may have never met.  We can work to help heal each other by practicing love, faith and forgiveness.

At Artful Home Care, we encourage meaningful relationships.  We encourage communication.  We encourage each other with positive motivations.  We work hard to ensure our caregivers, our staff, our clients, our community and our relationships are genuinely happy.  We trust one another and maintain open lines of communication to provide a superior level of care.

This past month we hosted our “Art for Health” program, Rhythm, at the Ed & Phyllis Davis Wellness Institute at Southampton Hospital.  This program, which is part of a three part series at the wellness center, is a free program open to all member of our community.  We designed this series to help educate the community and create awareness regarding the myths of aging.  Our guests ranged in age from 29 to 75 years old.  We want everyone to know that by simply changing the way we view our aging population, by respecting one another, honoring their lives and providing them with the same quality of care we would each want, we can see the honor and grace in each of them.

At this Holiday season cherish your friends and family, take the time to listen to one another and most importantly open your arms and hold them close; live, love, laugh and leave a legacy!  Artful Home Care is not just a home care agency, we are a way of life!  Peace to all!

With Gratitude,
